With a Starbucks cup in one hand and her green editing pen in the other, Linda leads our team with the same energy and inspiration that launched this company in 1985. Since then, Linda Costa Communications Group has blossomed through her commitment to excellence in writing, design, creative concepts and client service.
Linda has 40 years of experience as an educator, writer, editor, corporate communicator and marketing/public relations consultant. Selected by Orlando Business Journal as "2002 Businesswoman of the Year," she was praised by judges for her "talent for navigating corporate growth, commitment to community-building and standard of excellence." In 2003, Linda received a similar honor from the Orlando Sentinel when she was named winner of the small business category in the Sentinel's inaugural "Women Who Make Magic" program. She is also the recipient of the most prestigious accolade given by the Orlando Area Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association – "Outstanding Public Relations Professional" – and the Summit Award from the Women's Resource Center. In 2008, Linda was named "Alumna of the Year" by the English Department of Pennsylvania State University.
For her work in marketing and public relations, Linda has won more than 360 local, state and national awards, including Golden Image Awards from the Florida Public Relations Association, Addys, Mature Media Awards and Healthcare Marketing Awards. She has also been recognized by a host of Central Florida non-profit organizations – including the Adult Literacy League, Harbor House, Down Syndrome Association and Junior Achievement – for her volunteer efforts and her company's pro bono services.
Linda is a cum laude graduate of Pennsylvania State University, with a B.A. in English and graduate work in communications also from Penn State.
